I however, may be a little biased. I love Arizona and think it is the perfect place to live. After moving every four years or less for the majority of my life as the daughter of an Air Force doctor, I’ve found the place that has managed to keep me for over a decade! Phoenix, it turns out, is where my heart is. The places and climates I’ve lived, couldn’t be more diverse! From Omaha, Nebraska and Grand Forks, North Dakota to Spangdahlem, Germany and Las Vegas, Nevada, I’ve tried all the different climates and locales. Here are just some of the reasons Phoenix, AZ is the place for me and definitely for you:
- Territory and weather
Arizonais the 6th largest state, located in the Southwestern region. Phoenix is a desert, but within a day’s drive you could be at the beach, skiing in the mountains, visiting the gorgeous and spectacular Grand Canyon or partying in Vegas.
There are seven months of beautiful weather throughout the year. in Arizona, you’ll have warm temperatures, the sun is always out, and who doesn’t love sunshine? Here you will have loads of opportunities to go outside and enjoy the outdoor activities. There are over 320 days of sun and only a few days of rain during the entire year.
- Great places
There are many wonderful places and amazing things to do and see here. Arizona is best known for the Grand Canyon, but that isn’t the only thing you can find here. You can watch a beautiful sunrise over Monument Valley or explore the Jerome State Historic Park. You can also go to Havasu Falls, a waterfall located along Havasu Creek, and enjoy the natural beauty. For History buffs, there is the Canyon de Chelly National Monument, where you can find the important archeological resources of more than 4000 years of human occupation. There are a multitude of jobs available throughout the state, and the rural options available make Arizona a reasonable place to live. Most households find a living arrangement that meets their needs.

Speaking about jobs, the average salary by industry meets the United States general numbers. However, there are some fields above the national average, such as manufacturing, in particular. Phoenix is also one of the largest emerging industrial markets in the country. Fields like retail trade, health care, and social assistance, art, entertainment, and recreation are above the national average too. Because of tourism and its growth in the past years, there are many options available.
At the moment, the job market is growing and according to studies and predictions it is estimated that it will continue to grow.
